What is cellular respiration importance to living things?

Cellular respiration is the process by which cells convert ATP ( adenosine triphosphate) into energy, occuring in th mitochondria. This energy is needed by the cell to carry our the functions of the cells, it provides enery or fuel to keep the cells functioning or working at its efficiency. Without cellular respiration, there will be no other means to convert ATP into energy for the cell and the cell will cease to carry out life processes in living things.
